The first meeting of the internal network of creative cities of Iran was held in Isfahan.
In this meeting, which was held with the presence of 5 creative cities of Iran in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, issues, subjects, common strategies and challenges of the network in moving towards sustainable development were discussed. The creative cities of Iran that gathered at the 12th International Handicrafts and Tourism Exhibition in Isfahan are Sanandaj, the creative city of music (2019), Isfahan, the creative city of handicrafts and folklore (2015), Rasht, the creative city of gastronomy (2015), Kermanshah, the creative city of gastronomy (2021), and Bandar Abbas, the Creative city of handicrafts and folklore (2019). In this meeting, joint programs and events were emphasized. Also, strengthening the internal network of creative cities of Iran, holding joint exhibitions in creative cities of Iran, holding webinars and workshops and joint meetings in line with the goals of the network, helping other creative cities of Iran to join this global network, holding international events with the presence of the network and other UNESCO creative cities in Iran were among the agreements of this meeting. Also, the joint hall of the internal network of creative cities of Iran in the 12th international handicrafts and tourism exhibition welcomed domestic and foreign guests and visitors, as well as mayors and city council members of different countries. The purpose of this event was to expand cultural and artistic tourism as well as to introduce the network of creative cities to guests and visitors, and in this regard, very good information and awareness was done.
